The Samsung S24 Ultra Camera
In mobile photography, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra has emerged as a highly-anticipated contender for Android photographers and filmmakers.
It boasts a suite of features catering to a wide range of mobile photography enthusiasts: an ultra-wide camera that excels in bright light conditions, a versatile zoom capability, a host of A.I. functions to make any bad artist better, and a 10x telephoto camera. Additionally, the phone welcomes two tele modules to enhance detail and maintain overall image quality across long-range shots.
Samsung’s strategic inclusion of a 5x portrait lens directly challenges its Apple and Pixel industry rivals. The 50-megapixel sensor’s ability to offer a cropped 10x zoom at 12 megapixels positions the S24 Ultra as an adaptable tool for concertgoers and soccer moms needing to capture a subject extra far away. Combined with effective stabilization, these features deliver lovely results for still images.
However, regarding video capabilities, we think the S24 Ultra lacks considerably compared to the Apple 15 Pro Max. Despite software and hardware enhancements that yield more natural colors and improved noise reduction, the S24 Ultra struggles with exposure and color stability in various lighting conditions. This inconsistency doesn’t feel great for someone who relies on their phone to perform in various conditions.
